As a child, my dream was to become a professional princess at Walt Disney World or an ice cream man. I have always been in love with the idea of fairy tales, magic and happily ever after. As a recent college graduate being forced into the big bad world, I was just looking for something to help me pay for my incredibly overpriced dream graduate school, Loyola in Chicago. I applied for Disney Cruise Lines, kind of as a joke, thinking that it would be impossible for them to read my resume and decide that I was worthy of working with them. They e-mailed me a week after graduation from Texas State University (also know as the greatest university in Texas) to interview with a Disney recruiting associate and the rest is history.
I am about to embark on my first adventure with Disney Cruise Lines and I could not be anymore excited!! I will be living and working on Disney Magic as a youth activities counselor and cruising the deep blue sea to the Eastern and Western Caribbean!! I will try to update this blog as much as I can with pictures and adventures of my dream job. I feel so blessed to be given this opportunity of a lifetime and am excited to share this time in my life with YOU.
